... A little about me

My family and I moved to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland from NSW in 1991.  My husband and I have three children, one still at home ... family is important to me.

I have an artistic background, having spent 22 years producing glass art in the form of Leadlighting and Mosaics, sharing my skills with students along the way. I also donate my glass works for charity.

In 2009, I became a trained Cancer Connect Volunteer for the Cancer Council Queensland, after overcoming my own cancer journey. Cancer Connect is a free and confidential service that puts people in touch with trained volunteers who have had a similar cancer experience.

I then embarked on my journey to become a Civil Marriage Celebrant by completing accredited training and then gaining my acceptance by the Attorney Generals Office on 25th March 2010.  I have performed many and varied wedding ceremonies since then, each one very special. From small garden weddings to large formal ceremonies, ceremonies for overseas couples and interstate weddings, ceremonies which encompass traditions eg. Muslim, Pagen, Sand Ceremonies, Candle Lighting and themed ceremonies to name a few. I have also performed dawn weddings on the beach and twilight ceremonies in the hills and have even assisted couples with "shortening of time" for their wedding ceremony (strict legal conditions apply).

I love people, young or the young at heart and my couples find in me a friend and confidant.  I hope to have the opportunity to speak and meet with you about your marriage ceremony, and perhaps the privilege of being your marriage celebrant.
